I was hoping that I could get a little help here. Last year was my first season walleye fishing in 20 years. I would like to go out at night when the season opens but I don't know what I am doing. What do most of you guys do? just run stick baits, no divers or boards? I saw in an earlier post that someone spotted a bunch of walleyes with their headlamp, is that bad? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

what worked for me the last couple of years just running stick baits (anything with a rattle in it and darker colors greens and brownish) about 100ft back and 1.9mph

This thread looks pretty dead but maybe theres a few lurkers out there. been night fishing off the beach this week mon/tue/wed nights and can not get one to hit. Tried stealth mode no lights, tried taking the canoe out and working the 6-8 foot zone, had live bait out on a glow bobber. can see hundreds of fish all over. single fish, and groups up to 10 fish. super frustrating. wondering if we got anyone elese on here fishing at night close to shore?

Joe has the right to not give up his info if he does not want too.

At least he us letting you know fish are to be found and being caught.

So what if he is bragging a little, we all enjoy doing that when we get fish and your buddy or neighbor does not.

If it was you getting the fish and very few were, would you give up your spot and info just to be run off it.

Yah because the Ohio guys are so much smarter then us right!....Jerk. They adapt to what works for them (water depth/temp) and so do we. It's a harder game in general on this end I think and if you ask questions, people on this forum respond. Maybe they don't always give all the details in a report, but most are gracious to help with any questions. Get out there, do your homework and ask folks here, at the launch, bait shops. WATCH, ASK, and LISTEN, you'll get there some day Jerky😎
