Wish they would have never came to NY. Visited today. Came away unimpressed. Rather go to the WV and Michigan stores. Can't imagine some fisherman boater coming through the area and trying to pull into that traffic pattern, but the Bass Pro site would have been worse for that. I'll keep on ordering out of catalog, if I have to get what I am looking for thru them.

I heard the wv store is amazing in size. I know the pa one is. I've seen pics from the pa store from friends. Amazing. This just looks like gander mountain. Except they used valuable floor space for the "animal mountain". Lol. After seeing it and watching a video before hand from a cabelas rep on how they specifically picked and used animals that are exclusively from the ny area. I can honestly say I never knew we had prong horn, or muleys, or mountain goats. That was very interesting. Curious as to why they had that stuff, and a lynx yet they were missing a bobcat

disappointed
I was told that the fishing dept would be set up for our end of the lake ?? Not so much. Had very little in the store I thought.I will shop from the catalog. But at least we will nver have to pay shipping charges anymore.

I enjoyed walking through. Little small but from what I read thats what they are building now. I was there on Tuesday, sales rep in fishing section was taking notes from 2 different fellas regarding stocking what the locals use. He said corporate knows they need to taylor to local area. will see if that was all smoke......

I agree I was not impressed with the store one bit small, crammed, nothing to speak of in the fishing dept. and EXPENSIVE.

Took a ride to Cabela's just for something to do, I must say their prices are nuts! I looked at some 4" rapala's $10.99, Dipsey's $12.99. Seems like everything is pretty hi priced & I thought Gander was hi! Guess I'll work with the 9,000 lures I have !
