Where are the Walleye?
Well folks, went to Dunkirk this morning. I checked the marine forecast on line before i left. The waves were supposed to be two feet or less, WRONG AGAIN. I swear we had four and five footers out there. I got wet and sea sick. And to top it all off, no Walleye again. WHERE ARE THE WALLEYE?

This AM I went out from Sturgeon Pt headed directly for Pt Abino (Canada). When I got to 65 fow, headed west. I got one small eye (16"). I'm keeping him since pickings this year are so slim. I'm gonna filet and eat that 'lil SOB.
Generally very, very slow fishing. Then the good ole wind kicked up and when 4' rollers started getting me wet, I decided to go in. (I did catch a 2 # bass and threw it back). Anyone ever eat bass ?
It is a hell of a lot windier than it was 50 years ago (IMHO).

We picked up 10 walleye, Friday, noon to 2:30 PM, between Barcelona and Dunkirk, in the 80 to 90 foot contour. Dipseys with worm harnesses.
