No help from Shimano, they only warranty for 1 yr, this rod is much older but it was worth a try.

Hey save the rod end and hit the LOTSA sale in march at Niagara fair grounds there are lots of great deals on gear new and used. So maybe find even a half rod. Prices are reasonable and you never know what will be there.

I'll be in sandy creek marina next Friday to fish with a buddy for kings. Tell the guy to get it to Capt. Lucas Falkner of Make the Turn Charters and I can bring it home with me.
