It's between my grandfather, uncle and father. I've been fishing since I could hold a rod. There's pics of me 3-4 yrs old with a rod in my hand and a fish hanging off of it. I've fished with alot of people over the years and have honed/ changed and picked up new techniques. Ive also read alot of outdoor life, feild n stream, new york fish n game, books, and just about anything i coukd get my hands on. I'd say the two hardest fish I had to learn was walleye and trout/steelhead. I've caught them before when I was a kid at the cottage. But mostly by chance. Once I started targeting them things fell into place. Trout and steelhead were the worst. We would fish and fish as kids, always coming home empty handed. On the stream there's no one to show you things. People are secretive. It took a long time to learn how to read the water. But once I did, learned about light line and presentation. I've become pretty good at it. It's hard for me to skunk out when I go out fishing. I guess that's why friends always want to fish with me lol. Or maybe because I provide everything like a guide. Hell my best friend doesn't even show up with a rod anymore lol. He just figures hes using my stuff. Which reminds me I need to buy more fishing stuff. Lol
