We have had the best season we have ever had catching Walleye every time we go out in my $850 craigslist boat.....including last Saturday morning when we caught 8 from 18in to 28in. Using a Humminbird 998ci SI, Berts custom tackle trees rod holders, tracks, Church's walleye boards and our own custom worm harnesses with either #5 & #6 Silver Streak Spinners and #2 octopus hook and #6 Gamakatsu #6 round bronze treble hook In 38-42fow behind the windmills. Trolling at .7 to 1.4mph. I attribute our success to the Learning charter we took in May down in Ohio with Bigwaterfishing and Capt Ross Robertson (google both for more info) Ross is the co-Author of the book "Walleye Trolling" and does TV shows, contributes to infisherman and field and stream. Ross's charters have caught about 1000 walleye on lake Erie since Feb of this year including nearly 400 in just one week. He is the Walleye Slayer! Everything he showed us is in his book and well worth the price. I am working with a local tackle shop to get some of Ross's books and maybe Ross himself to do a Q&A session locally.
