While the food topic is rolling has anyone ever eaten white Fish that wasn't smoked, if you have how was it. I was told it's good, just wondering. Quite a few were caught on Erie this winter.

All I've ever heard of white fish is they were better than walleye. I would guess thats why they were one of the species that were systematically over fished and almost eradicated from the lake. I found a great read Googling them last week and it listed others that went extinct in the lake do to over fishing I believe blue pike were 3rd or 4th on list that was lost.

Has anyone heard if the state is still taking over the SBH? That was the rumor going around last year. A state launch / better than NFTA. Imho.
