Sorry steelhead. I was responding to cmw524. I got confused. I've been getting beat up by the walleye the last few days and trying to get my bearings. Glad to hear your running great. With a boat there is always issues.

I've got a HDS-5 and I really like it. I've had 2 issues. The first one was the unit locking and freezing while in motion. I called Lowrance and they told me to check the extra wires that I didn't use for touching each other at times. All the wires were stripped the same length, if you don't trim and tape them up and they touch the unit will not work correctly. My second issue that I'm still having is with the boat icon freezing up at times. The boat will change direction and the screen does not update. Usually this happens when making sharp turns. I'm installing the new 4.0 software update that lowrance just released. I'll let you know of it fixes the issue.
Other than that I love it
