Went out to the dumping grounds on fathers day. Got two limits of walleye with 7 throw backs. Caught most of them on spoon harnesses with meat. The good speed was 1.6. I hope that helps. Hope that helps.

Ive been fishing out of Lorain lately 2-3 times a week
Past Monday.. June 29th .. day after storm... marked em 8 miles out 37 /10 area.....by commercial nets/ marks no action
Wed July 1 ... bad wind ..... didnt want to move out too far.... Drifted by Lorain Lighthouse... no marks.... went in early worked on the boat
Now good weather... but Holiday events have kept me off the lake last couple days....
Did hear Charters were going west lately... out of Lorain going to Vermilion and Huron....
Whats working ....and where?
Mid to late June were getting em on worm harnesses... purple and red....
Running big dipseys...3 Setting .... 70-85 line out.... 1 Setting 55-60 line out...
with worm harness... and been trying scorpion and larger stinger spoons....
Lost a couple big ones...extension on net came apart.. sunk!
Ill post to this website any results I get... and reports from others...
Lets all share on here.. and see if we get anything consistent going...

Fished the morning of July fourth off of Avon Point. Water was still a little muddy from the big storm and it was windy the night before. Most good marks were around 43 fow. Used harnesses with 2 and 3 oz snap weights. Caught one good sized eating walleye. Made for a nice lunch

7/13 5 Mi North of Lorain Marked lots of Fish..up and down Water Column . Fished same area I had great luck 2 days ago....
33 10 and thereabout...
Today 1 throwback small walleye... Did get a mess of white bass. They are good eating and fun to catch!
1 Perch and Couple Sheephead.
Believe the Walleye have moved on....
Threw everything at em.. no luck. Going NE of Avon Point.. N of Lakewood next time
as weather conditions permit.
Anyone else considering venturing out to 63 and deeper waters north? of Avon/Lakewood/RR/Cleve?
Let me know gps numbers and whats working out deep.
Figure the walleye.. and steelhead (prob already out there) moving to cooler waters as warm weather continue....
Anyone have open water steel head info and experience to share?
In the past years late June.. early July 15m north of Avon Point...........Last edited by 1fish; 07-13-2015 at 08:11 PM.

7/20 and 7/21 Fished 31.5 19.5 Area Recommended by others
Monday - good day! 7/4/3 lbs.. Worm Harness / Huckleberry/ Dipsey 3 Setting 70 Back
was the busy rod all day Monday. Tues- not so good- Couple "eaters" but nothing of any size
Plenty of white bass action both days.
Did get a steelhead on Monday ..and to the back of the boat... man it was running all over the place...
threw the hook, nothing new there! Exciting action!
On the sonar noticing fish up and down and not so many in the middle of the water column.... maybe the thermocline is setting up.....
