I'm sure that spoon has a name but I couldn't find it. Anyway, I am not suicidal but I went chasing the fish this AM. Jack at Snug Harbor told me the walleye had moved in and I should start at the 04.5N line and he was right. I had 4 fish in the first 30 minutes and then the wind really picked up. In describing the lake conditions as I approached the 06N, the old nautical word "gnarly" comes to mind. White water everywhere and 3 to 5 footers with an occasional 6 and 7. The wind was 20 plus. Mother Nature can be testy at times so I apologized for bothering her and turned the Holly Lucas toward the marina. It was a fun 50 minute boat ride and there will be other days.

That spoon might be called "Confusion", ''Mass Confusion" or "Balls of Confusion"....

No fishing for me this weekend. Might be back up mid next week. Friend of mine bought a boat docked in geneva. Might go out with him.

    Question

Hitting Conneaut tomorrow morning looking for walleye. I see them on my sonar just north of both perch packs but all I am getting is white bass no matter what the presentation. Is anybody catching eyes and if so, would you care to share what is working for you? If not, I have seen steelhead rolling and may change my targets. Ch. 14 to share....

Thanks for the info. Caught walleye today at the 06N and 35W-32W in 72 FOW on shallow cranks off Dipsies without O rings back 234' to 270' going 1.9 mph. Dragging sticks with in line weights got me nothing but zebras. Best fish today was 29 1/2 inches topping the scales at 9 lb that hit a shallow diving RR in rainbow trout color back 234'. Walleye are there. You just have to work for them.
