New scaled Yellow's are in PA markets for $5.00/ lb. Taken from Canadian side of Lake Erie, I'm assured. There's an old commercial fisherman's saying that goes; When the fish are gillin' (being caught in gillnets), they ain't catchin, and when the fish are catchin' (being caught on hook and line), they ain't gillin. There can be a lot of truth in some of these old coloquilisms. Fall yellow pike fishing in the rivers is heating up, but here in Lake Erie, it is non-existent. I've always wondered why. Any ideas?
