Had a slow day, which is unusual for mid-May around Vermilion. Caught only 1 walleye. Trolled cranks and harnesses in the mud, at the edge of the mud, and out in the clearner water. Marked several hundred fish, most in small tight pods. Caught the only eye of the day on a watermelon harness fished at about 24 feet down in 35 feet of water. Looking to come back up over Memorial Day weekend. Hoping the fish are a bit more agressive then.
