Well this was the first trip this season. After making the descent to head up to the lake late today, we got to the bait store about noon. And after getting a "Bait store Bull S*it" fishing report. We hit the water looking for Eye's. What a nice day on the lake, Waves about 1 ft or less. Nice day for a afternoon troll. So after getting out to 70 FOW we set up and trolled due North. All the way out to about 78-79 ft. NOTHING not even a sheephead, or white bass. We tried everything Worms, spoons ( Large and small) Dippys, jets ,flat line. You name it, NOTHING. So we picked up and made the run out to the 42-00 line. And there we found FISH, of all makes, colors and size's. Skipping to the end. Ended up with 9 eye's, 6 white bass, one fowl hooked sheephead ( we put him back), And 3 Jumbo Yellow perch. Oh, and more Steel Head than I ever want to see AGAIN.........

Other than having a bad scare at the end of the day that fare out. It was a REAL nice day on the water.

So you ask what was the scare??? The boat wouldn't go into gear at all, when we stopped to pull in the boards. Like it was stuck "N".

What a "Oh,Sheet" feeling that fare out. But after playing with the shifter she went into gear. And playing with it back at the dock showed no sign of anything being wrong with it. Very scary. Yes, its getting looked at this week before we go out again.

Sorry for the long post. We got some fish, they just where not in a close as our B.S. buddies said they where. Maybe next week we'll try over toward Geneva.
