It was strange, on Wednesday, 7/2 the grade wasnt all that good, most betwen 16 and 20". That day we spent in 45-50 fow. Next day, we fished deeper (50-55) and the fish got bigger. We got a 27" that day and most were 18 and up. Water is beautiful, 75-78 degrees on surface and we stayed between 2.0 and 2.5. Thursday the 4th was the best day, we stayed out in 55-62 and all the fish were over 18. I dont think we threw any back that day. My buddy was adamant we stay under 50 for and IDK why......and we caught a handful of drum in that shallow. We spoke with guys fishing all the way out to 65 fow and getting limits.

I've never seen fish like this before on the sonar........especially in 55+ A constant stream suspended and on bottom.

We met a retired fella and his wife from Minnesota staying in the campground for 10 days. We spoke with him daily and he told us with his accent, "Fellas, I hate to break it to you, but this ain't fishin', this is takin'." He said it would take him 3 days up north to catch 12 walleye. He had to go to Walmart to buy another freezer for all the fish!
