Default Heading to Walnut Launch Saturday (9/21)

Anyone been there as of late? Is it going to be really busy if the weather is nice? I cannot get up there until after noon. Any pointers on direction would be much appreciated - 2nd trench? Fow?

According to FishUSA, fishing is still good from 60-80FOW. I’ve seen boats head north, east and west out of the marina on the webcam. Check out their webcam for Walnut Creek. Parking lot is still packing them in. We are heading to Geneva Saturday. Steelhead are starting to stage at the creek mouths too. Guys are catching some

Do you fish from your boat for the steelhead. You say creeks so are you in the river. Just curious never trout fished. Are you casting spoons for them.

Some people fish from boats out in front of the stream/creek mouths. They will troll, drift or cast for them. Mostly spoons, spinners or minnow imitations. Fishing from shore they’ll cast spoons or use single eggs or egg sacs on the bottom. In PA, most of the Erie tributaries are small creeks. No big rivers. If you think Erie walleye fishing is addicting, hook one steelhead on light tackle and you will be addicted! They will take you for a ride!
