Going to fish Ashtabula Sunday for the first time. Been fishing the western basin for years. Mostly a drifter/ caster. Any ideas on places to launch and possibly dock for a month. Also any help on starting points??

Check out Geneva state park Marina. They have some slips available

If you want to launch at Ashtabula, you could try Jack's Marine. I rented a dock for a month a few years ago and was fairly reasonable as I remember. They have fish cleaning facilities also. Can;t beat Geneva, though. Nicest around.

Thanks. I will call Jack's. We fished Sunday and caught 15 nice keeper's casting just west of the river in Ashtabula. I did inquire at Geneva and they do have docks available reasonably. My only concern would be the long run east to Ashtabula to fish.
