Want to fish out of Lorain can someone tell me where i can launch my boat and where the nearest bait shop is help would be greatly appreciated usually fish west basin

Google Hotwaters, it's the public boat launch in "downtown" Lorain and has a bait shop. It is north of the intersection of Oberlin Rd. and Rt. 6. There is signage to get you the rest of the way there

I hear that the Hot Waters bait store and fish cleaning is permanently closed. Something about the building not meeting code. The boat ramps are open. For bait try George's Bait at 5150 W. Erie Ave, 440-282-2660 or try Lakeside Bait at 925 Colorado Ave. 440-288-2008. Fish cleaning across the street from Lakeside Bait, Ardick Seafoods.

Last few years I used Hot Waters Bait and fish cleaning, they were very helpful, gone to miss them this year.
