27' sportcraft
I have just purchased a 1984 270 family fisherman sportcraft. It has a 350 260 hp inboard, 1.91:1 transmission. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the 18 x 22 prop I found in the boat is the right one for it. The 22 pitch seems off to me but maybe with that ratio it will work. If you have any info or know where I can get it it would be appreciated thanks. Fish on!!

That seems about right to me. I have a 32' Wellcraft coastal. I was running twin 340HP 454's with 1.91:1 trannys with 22x20 3 blade props. Just put in 2 new 385HP 454's and went with 2.5:1 trannys and 22x25 4 blade props. Both setups ran out fine but I do prefer the new setup better.

thanks
Thanks for the info Island Runner. I have never had an inboard boat and it didnt seem right to me. I have been doing some research and found it to be pretty close to what I need. I hope to get it out within the next couple weeks and see how it does.

Hello aerocraftmach2 ,
Congratulations for the Sports craft. In your 27' sports craft 18 x 22 prop is right for your boat.It will work better. You don't need to change it.
