    Default Fishing vacation

With the Canadian border being closed for what will probably be the rest of the year, does anyone have any idea for a late summer or fall week long fishing trip?

I already fish Erie 20-25 weekends a year. I'm looking to get away. Maybe up to 1200 miles away.

I was thinking north for smallmouth n northerns but Cumberland lake sounds good. Will need somewhere with boat rental as my boat is too big to haul. Went to northern Minnesota 3 weeks ago but the fishing sucked!

Dale hollow lake in Tennessee has good population of smallmouth and rainbow trout. Great place for a quiet vacation.

SM and giant northerns in northern MI. North end of Grand Traverse Bay for SM. Drummond Island on Lake Huron has monster northerns but the island is mostly private. We always trolled in shallow water and around weed beds. Lots of SM also. Lots to do in both areas and not that far apart. I could go on and on. !4,000 inland lakes and 3288 miles of Great Lakes shoreline. The opportunities are endless.
