yes the fence would be the border we have been fishing to the west of the catt but no farther than Dunkirk the border varies from 75' out to 90' the fish we were catching were close to the bottom. I think its $7.00 to launch at the state launch.

That is a state park?
Bonus, I have the "Empire Pass", free for me to launch!
You guy are really getting me anxious. I hope this weekend the weather will be better.
PS. After Bailey ties the 500 ft rope to your boat I'm tying a 500 ft rope to his. With the size of your boat you'll never know the difference. :p
Just remember the fence is not close to shore like it is up by the city. It can be as much as a 14 mile run from the creek mouth depending on which way you want to fish. Be safe.
About 50% of the time i am in the same neighborhood as fishkiller but i know it's worked both ways but the tow rope is a great idea talk about stealth i am in. Also think about it if i get good binoculars when i see the 10 colors go on the baja i just have to hook that line from under my boat and net the fish. Talk about catch rate increase. I do have to thank jim he's helped improve my catch rates and directed me to try different tactics. So Fishkiller lets talk about down riggers hmm yup tou don't need those darn things.
Capt. Joe, whats a good time to call you later today??
Just a big drift sock
Actually the main reason i follow fish killer is one day he'll end up making mrs Fishkiller mad enough she'll throw him overboard and i don't wanna see my little buddy have to swim all the way back to the catt from near buffalo.
What if you have white hair and a half of a head of hair? :D:D Maybe we should shave our heads and have the Fishkiller look. ? Maybe that's how he launches all over the place.
My dad had white hair most of his life from age 22, aka "White head" ;)
Hat Fishkiller - Are you and that Baha in the porker run tomorrow? Or is it Baja?
You should see the boats. $$$$$ the trailers. $$$$$ the trucks $$$$$ at Templeton landing.
Copo. I thought of you when I seen those toys. The need for speed.
As everyone was gaucking at on that was 40 ft twin SS props I asked. But does it troll?:rolleyes: they looked at me funny. But I'm use to that.;)
Heading out to Dunkirk, to follow the walleye. Is it worth the hour drives ? If so, whats being used and at what depths is everyone fishing? Thanks and maybe we'll see some of you guys out there tomorrow Am.
Tony (Slapshot)
A little bumpy not bad west of the catt go deep fish deep 73 fow+ and fish bottom 15 ft. Today a big thanks to barbs tackle and the blades. I wound up with 9 decent eyes biggest problem today was just wind did a bit of crab walking. Most guys were only 2 or 3 fish for catches heard one over radio claim 18 . Dipsys 180 on 2 with ring 220 on 2 without. Riggers scrapping bottom add for blowback. If you hug border youll catch fish oh yeah only one gish off 10 color. The blades kicked i'll post which ones later on. My food arrived lol
Tony, go out of the catt go a few to the west. Pm bailey for numbers.
Ok stuffed now ha ha, so my colors today were slime, pluto, hummer and siberian tiger. As setting up the copilot let us get pushed in a ways by the wind but thats ok so it took a while to get back out where i wanted to be. It was slow no action then my nephew who is 9 and been on boats since he was 3 fishing had a brilliant idea. He for some reason decided to chum the fish and soon after we got the first one in the boat LOL. He recovered well and landed a handful of silvers and eyes. . All in all a good day go west stay deeper than 72 fow. Oh yeah was also funny to be doubted as to my catch lol maybe some boats were trained to well for salmon LOL . Also i didn't have anyone to play follow the leader with today. Slapshot pm being sent
Yup Lol
fishkiller and bailey - THANKS
So has everything moved away from the shoal? I was fishing about a mile SW by the Canadian border two weeks ago, hammering them. Are they not there anymore?
Also fished out of the Catt today west off that power plant close to fence. 82-85fow and 10 color with sticks worked well for us. Boxed 12 by early afternoon. It took a bit of looking early to find these fish, nobody west of us most of the time
West of the catt now although always fish to east but few in numbers. Yes there are good pods of resident fish but they move around and it's a lot if water to search. Head west youll have much better chance.
Best advise i can give for the rest of the yr head west!!! If you want success.
I went west out of SP but probably not far enough. Went out late. Left early. Sorry to say - a skunky for this monkey.
went out of the Catt. and got 7 (5 between 18- 22" and 2 -26.5"), all came on meat , with in 10 - 15' of the bottom in 78' - 85' of water. Got 1 on the dipseys the rest came off of the riggers. I want to give a BIG thanks to bailey.
I ran jets off the sides. 30 on one side 40 on the other. Small boards ( yellow birds)and a small dipsy off the port side. all worm harnesses. Dragged worms and they were intact when I pulled them in. I was off of Pt Breeze 40 07. Go further west. :D The little ti ti flies were out in full force. What a pain.
We went out of Dunkirk sat and sun fished 86 to 93 fow boxed 5 and dropped 7 sat and picked up 6 and dropped 3 sun. Dipsy's 187 to 211 back with Chrome and red harness and worm burner spoon, mixed veggie color with chrome back worked pretty good. also picked a few up with 10 color and sticks but had a hard time keeping the silver bass off them. also picked a few up on the 81 rigger.
