Walnut 6/10
It took most of the day but around 5pm I was able to get the boat off the trailer. First trip out always comes with unexpected obstacles, this year the thermostat gasket was leaking.
Because of the late start I ran straight to the 50' mark and setup with the wind. Between 5pm and about 8pm there was a lot of action with many shorts. Crawler harness on Dipsey set on #3 out 120' and inside Dipsey set on 1.5 out 85' were busy all night (many shorts). Down rigger with cranks about 5' off the bottom pickup bigger fish, I brought home 4 between 16" to 20".
Lake was beautiful with 2' rollers but the biting flies were horrible. Best advice for the flies is stay moving and swing a towel when your standing still.24' Caravelle

Was up Saturday got 7 legal to who knows how many shorts. Straight north 4 miles of walnut there is a commercial net. Spoons with Dipsy 3 75 back chicken wing and watermelon did well. The shorts are really active had all 6 rods go at one time.
