Good news that everyone is okay! For anyone reading this that does not have a working vhf radio, GO BUY ONE! I also recommend (smaller boats) a handheld for backup, in case your batteries get submerged losing power.

The boat's bilge pumps were not working either. Chances are there was frozen water in the bilge, seeing how the night temps were only in the 20's....just a guess on my part though.
So, always check the pumps before leaving the dock when it's still this cold....just as a precaution.
Glad everyone is okay.Captain Julia "Juls" Davis

I fished that area yesterday. Only saw 2 other boats fishing, everybody else was more north. What time did it happen?

Thanks to those who rescued these guys. They were very fortunate someone was in the area. Not much traffic this time of year on week days.
I also use Boat US for my towing insurance. My VHF radio is tied into my chartplotter so my emergency button automatically sends my GPS coordinates. I also carry a PLB on my person."ReelTime"
