I've been fishing Erie for many years near the PA/Ohio state line. While in years past I had my own boat (lost it in a divorce), I've been fishing the past few years with a friend of mine in his boat. We have done some ice fishing near Catawba and westward (not this year unfortunately). I've been wanting to fish for Walleye in this area with another buddy of mine. I have a Deep-V 14' Lund with a 9.9 and a trolling motor. I know well enough not to venture too far from shore, mind the current weather, be aware of potential weather changes, have a marine radio, and all that good stuff.

With all that said, I'm wanting to get sensible opinions on the best places to fish for walleye this time of year, anywhere from Sandusky to Toledo. I have a long drive from the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia (Just East of Pittsburgh PA). Any other help/information would be appreciated. I have had conflicting recommendations regarding trolling and jigging.

Thanks in advance!
Steve
