    Default Catawba Perch (9-4-15)

    Took my buddy out for his 1st fishing experience. 4 of us fished, but it was more like 3 with him being new to ot. Fished to the East of the Catawba Buoy in 21 FOW from 10 to 2. We ended the day with 60, with several 10+ inches. I even caught a small 8-10 inch walleye. We had a tough time gettin the anchor to dig in when we 1st got there, with the steady wind and choppy waves, but we finally got it after we moved a couple times.

    No problems getting shiners, although the were a bit on the big size. Fish preferred the heads or a whole shiner, Fished in the mud with or without bling.
