    Default B-Can Perch 09/04/2015

Got some mixed sized shiners this morning from 2 1/2 inch up to 4 inches. Ran out to the GPS numbers that I have been using for awhile now just south of B-Can. Caught a one man 30 fish limit in about 1.5 hrs. and they weighed 10lbs at Cutchers Fish Cleaning. I cut the bigger shiners into 2, 3 or 4 pieces depending on their size and used the modified long arm crappie rigs(Perch Rigs purchased at Tibbles Marina). Fished in the mud, I sorted the last 10 perch and kept only 9+ inch perch for the last 10. I am sure that helped the weight per limit. Here is a pic.B-Can Perch 09/04/2015-20150904_125039-1-jpg

Well that is another way of putting it! I never looked at it that way since I only considered the light as just attracting them to the boat. You may have something there. But yes I put it down every time I perch fish. It goes in right after I set the anchor.
