Default Looking for a ramp near Camp Perry

I usually put in at Mazurik and fish near the islands. With a 16.25 Lund, even a little chop can make a long ride a very slow ride. Can anyone suggest a ramp closer to Camp Perry that would put me closer to the cans? I don't mind paying a realistic ramp fee.

I suggest any of the ramps on Turtle Creek. Better parking facilities and close to A can and the North end of the outer danger zone(firing range)

You can use Beef Creek marina. It's only a $5 ramp fee and dumps out the mouth of the Toussaint. From there it's about 5-6 miles N to B-Can

I was going to suggest that but it has gotten shallow between the first set of buoys just as you enter the lake. The river itself is just fine but that transition area from river to lake has begun to fill up with sand again. There should not be any problem for a 16.5 boat with outboard, but you should be aware of that area. I dock there in slip #44. Nice marina, ramp and people but there is no fuel on the river.

I usually use Wild Wings, behind the Marathon next to Davis Bessie. It's 10 bucks and you pay the cute young blond at the gas dock. There is a small bait store in a hut behind Wild Wings and they sometimes have Emerald Shiners when other places don't. I like Wild Wings because there is very little Channel time. But they have some nasty speed bumps that you have to endure on the way. (wish they would at least make them smaller) Good luck perchin! We have been doing very well in 17FOW. Fish are getting bigger. Last trip, last Sunday was 13 pounds for 60 fish.
