Yellow Bandits 7/3 and 8/1

[Crooked Eye]

Started mid morning fishing with night shift and lake erie trapper. We had the pleasure to be on night shift's 27' sportcraft. We stared at Niagara reef and did nothing. In search of calmer water and bigger perch we went over by Lucy and started picking at them. Good quality not quantity. We still had a hard time keeping anchor and ended the day with 20. It was a rough ride back to the Marina but that boat handled it great. Thanks Night Shift for a great day out on Friday!
Sat. I went for a perch/eye combo trip with Lake Erie Trapper and mate. We fished perch with the pack off sw of Kelly's. Put 65 nice perch in the boat by noon and switched to walleye. Trolled North side of Kelly's around to the East side. Plenty of big marks just not biting for us. Started with meat and switched to cranks on the East side. We ended with one eye. The first mate kept saying we needed a green toothy creature to bite and man he got his wish. A big surprise came when we put a 30" musky in the boat (could be a tiger musky). We all got pictures and put him back to get bigger. I heard reports last year of one being caught in open water but took it as a fish story so check out the pic. What chaos did putting that in the boat created. Three tangled lines, one lost crank, and two cut lines. That was fun!

We caught a 26 inch Muskie this spring around mouse just west of the ferry lanes
