Dream catcher tackle has shiners also I bought tomorrow supply there this morning. good luck to everybody will post once I get off the lake
Wakina dont take all the shiners i need some this weekend. Last weekend i was walleye fishing ne of niagra a few miles up to the kidney. Old jets 65-80 back spoons and j-7s. I was 5 fish short of 2 days limits not much trash and only a few short eyes.
It was a bumpy ride out this morning and the perch were not in a cooperative mood, we caught 8 keepers in 2hrs about 11/2 miles north of B-can. We made a move to an area about 1 mile North of the can line and half way between B & C-cans. Had good marks so set up and caught 15 in about 20 minutes. Bite slowed down but the keepers were really nice and there was constant action with all the little perch and very little junk fish so we stuck it out. We ended up keeping 48 that weighed 21lbs at the cleaners some really nice perch with 4 or 5 that went 12 inches and several 10 inchers, probably had a 9 inch average. The wind laid down nice in the afternoon and it was a pleasant day fishing. We cut before getting a limit as we are going back out tomorrow and the wife was getting tired so we wrapped it up early for us at 3:00pm and headed in. We found that a 1/2 to a 1/3 piece of shiner depending on size worked best, whole shiners were stripped from the hooks and had to many lost fish with whole shiners.
Hope everyone can find bait tomorrow. Deans drive thru has frozen shiners if you can not find live ones.
