perch report 8-2-14

Went to same place as yesterday nothing going on. Got a tip from a friend and moved northwest 5 miles between ballast island and Lucy's point. Took a little while to get them going but they turned on about 530. Wife and I got our limits by 630. 19 lbs again. Same gear as yesterday. After waiting out the storms it ended up being a good day. Good luck all!

That's funny, I did just the opposite. We started out NE of Ballast and caught nothing but whites and sheep so we moved over to the spot you fished Friday then the storm hit so we ducked in at Kelly's and had lunch and killed 3 hours talking with other fishermen who were waiting out the storm. Got back out around 1:00 and it as slow going, just when we were ready to move we caught a couple so decided to stick it out and ended up getting our limit by 6:30.

We went to a single hook and it helped put fish in the box!

hearing so much with the algae bloom anyone got a decent recommendation for perch.....first time out got me 12 and the storms came and went so not sure where to go.....have had a decent walleye year like most...however...can not complain too much
