    Default smallmouth information

Am looking to fun fish for smallies. It's been forever since I've done it. Looking for any advice as far as lures and or baits as well as what areas to fish. Am docked at channel grove. Thank you in advance for the information that I know I will get!

    Default Smallies

I always use live bait for best action....softcraws! Anywhere around the islands in shallow water especially where you see gravel beds. I have been ready to fight some smallies myself! Always great fun!

ditto on the soft craws Eyecrazy!.....my favorite smallie bait. the east side of kellys about midway up in 8-16 fow is always productive, what a fun fish!

been catching them in that area since the early eighties.....good luck

Find a big crack in the rocky bottom around any of the Islands and toss a soft craw or a spot tail shiner into it and hang on. The water does not have to be that deep around those cracks but those bass sure like the protection of those cracks and hang out in them.
