Default Going on a headboat tomorrow

Made reservations on a headboat with Shore'nuf Charters for in the morning. My brother-in-law and I will be going. This is our first time out walleye fishing on a head boat (each have our own boats).

    Any tips or advice?

Anyone else heading out on the same?

Channel 79, hit me up. Can be caught perch'n or drift'n around the islands when I make it out.

Thanks. I've heard that about the middle, only I was told to go for the bow.

    Default Bow

I'd go for the bow myself also..... Less likely to tangle with someone else if casting your jig

I went out with Sassy Sal a few weeks ago. Bow or stern are most desirable. Some people actually tied their poles to the railing the night before. Also the stern did the best on our day.
Lots of people with lots of gear, be careful you don't get hooked yourself. Guys on our boat had never fished before and jigs were flying over the boat.
The boat and crew were pretty well organized.

    Default Headboat reservations

We used Fishermans Wharf a lot years back and usually had a good time with a group of us.When we first started we could get the bow or stern by a couple of us getting there 2 hrs early and spreading out our gear where we wanted to be then it evolved to tieing up yardsale poles to the rail the night before.Good Luck

Default head boat fishing pole loss

Had an experience with a head boat a few years ago my good friend lost a couple of very costly St Croix legend rods when he went into the bait store for just a few min. lesson learned tie up an old piece of junk rod to secure your spot . I like the bow but stearn is great also fish on!

    Thanks again!

I will post a report from today's trip in another thread so it is an obvious report to all.
