Jig Bite
How long does the jig bite typically last? Does anyone expect it to still be aggressive through this weekend or from the current signs is it slowing down?

It typically lasts into early May. I haven't heavily fished the jig bite the last several years (because Jim gave me the trolling bug lol), but we used to still be jig fishing all the time when the limit went back to 6. They usually end up moving out a little deeper the later it goes... meaning you won't find the fish up in 6 feet of water on the beach like you probably can now but more likely out into the 15 plus foot water the more towards May we get. Last early May, I was out trolling Niagara and I had buddies still jigging 2 hour limits around K can.
