    Default Shiner scales

    Cleaning up gear getting ready for spring.Anybody know of a way to get shiner scales off of rods from last fall short of a belt sander.Thanks in advance hope to see everybody on the water soon.

    i use dow bathroom cleaner, you know with the "scrubbing bubbles"
    works great on hulls too!......

    I soak them in soapy water inside a pvc pipe. They just wipe off after 20 minutes or so.

    I use bucket of dawn dish soap and water along with a soft bristle scrub brush....quick, simple and doesnt harm the rods finish

    Default Best way and fast

    Wd-40 and rag put the wd on the rag first and wipe them off gives your finished rod a nice shine and keeps it from freezing on those cold April mornings helpful tip wipe it on the eye guides also
