Ice Taxi's ?
Does anyone know of any ice taxi's that will take you out to the good fishing areas? Not looking for guide, more of the ride out.

I was actually thinking about using my sled to give people rides for like 10$ or something..... If you are interested in a ride from Catawba message me.

Guide License ??
No guide license is needed to run a ice taxi on Erie as long as you do not provide any fishing supplies such has , holes drilled , bait , shanty stuff like that . Have good insurance however because if something happens , your on the line for it . Take people out and the crack opens, have a way to get them back since you took them out . Sled has problems , have a back up to get back out to pick them up or once again your butt is on the line .
Money to be made for sure as I did it on 09 out of then Crane Creek for 50.00 round trip .Made an avg of 300.00 bucks a day that winter. Would bring both quads just in case something happened to the main one .Keep a list with names and numbers of the guys you run out to make sure you get them all back in as well as your responsable once they pay you .
If you feel better about having a guide License , just go to the DNR in Sandusky and pay 50.00 for an ice fishing guide license and then you have one .
The main reason people dont do it much anymore is because of the liabilty .

Do you need a TWIC Card for just a state licence? Federal or Coast guard licence is not required unless you are running a boat(watercraft) of some type, be it air or regular boat.
