Slowed down alot. 1 or 2 fish here and there. Pretty scattered,fish are moving around alot. Hopefully will pic up in next few days.

Sounds like I made the right decision to head west to the Crane/Wards area for my vacation. My buddy fished Catawba today and picked up an 8# steelhead of all things!!! No walleye though.

Made my first trip to the ice this weekend, fused with Capt. John from DB charters. All I can say is WOW. 4 guys, fished 2 days, landed 35 (lost 15 or so), weighing in at over 225 lbs. these fish were hogs. Big one was this 32" 12 lb pig. Caught them on a fire tiger jigging rapala (tipped with minnow and stinger also tipped; 2 minnows total). Some caught on silver/ blue pimple as well. 27 FOW lifting up off the bottom 16-20" then dropping back down. Lots of missed fish were caught again after we just dropped the bait right back down. For my first ice trip ever, I don't know how it could improve the next time. I must say, DB has the finest equipment I saw out there. His airboat is like a humvee on the ice, heated, safe, and comfortable. Capt John worked hard all day to coach a bunch of rookies to success. Highly recommended.

22 fish from Saturday. Slowed down Sunday, landed 15.
