Default Braid to fluoro or mono leader

It is getting closer to spring so Here is a short video that shows you how to tie a knot connecting your braid main line to your mono or Fluorocarbon leader or braid to your mono backing on your reel. Hope this helps some of you. It works good!!!!

Not to start a pissing match! But!
Beginning at the 7:15 point of the video the person tying the knot claims that tying the connection this way gives you the smallest possible knot. The video beginning at the 7:33 point also claims that the knot is stronger than the main line! Obviously the knot would be stronger than the leader if the leader would be of a lesser lb. test than the main line. So maybe your knot is the best but there is no practical way to prove that if what the video poster has stated is true. If you put the line in the knot tester used on the knot wars video's either the main line or the leader would break first. That makes the knot the strongest link in the entire fishing line from reel to lure! I find it hard to believe that one could possibly improve on that type of performance in the real fishing world.

In any event the knot far exceeds the drag capacity of my Shimano line counter reels which is 12lbs. maximum drag. They are spooled with 30# braid as my main line!

I'm gonna try it. But I better be in my shanty. Wouldn't want that much of a challenge in 20 mph winds & 12 degrees. Lol. Just kidding, but I will try it. Thanks for sharing
