    Default Help?

    I've never been ice fishing on lake erie and was thinking about trying it this weekend. My ice fishing experience consists of only a local farm pond. I have a boat and seem to do pretty good in open water on the lake but fishing through a hole is all new to me. What do I use, where's a good place to start? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Aluma, Do you have transportation? HT Safety Treads (Creepers). Supposed to be 36 saturday. That will make the ice slickery. Lets start with the basics

    I do not have a snowmobile or a four wheeler so I would be on foot. I have no problem walking a distance. I have a set of ice cleats that slip over my boots for traction.

    Go Saturday. High 36. Fish are being caught in 18-21 ft of water. That's a 2-2.5 mile walk.
