Walleye Wings
Has anyone got any good recipes for these? Or at least can you enlighten me on the best way to cook them? Old dude at the cleaners kept cutting them, and when my father asked what he was doing he told us he kept the "wings". Well, he tried to actually keep our wings until Dad told him we wanted them (fella probably has all he can eat).
So has anyone got a good method for cooking these?
Thanks

Could it be the throats..we save them and fry um up just like the rest with Andy's red...way better than cheeks.

A good friend from Saginawbay has been doing walleye wings for years! You can bread em, fry em, then coat in BBQ sauce. The fin sitcking out of the small piece of meat makes it look like a chicken wing coated in BBQ sauce. 2 wings per walleye. They make a great appetizer. Just lots of work and they go really fast.
I can only hope I have earned the freedom that has been given me.

Wings...
i had a older fellow ask me...."what are you gonna do with the rest of your fish" after I was done with the filets and checks! I said " what fish", he then took out the two lower fins, and said this fish....... I now cut them out, an usually grill them/blacken them that day as an app. while grilling other items.
There is usually a nice chuck of meat left, like a chicken wing. I think its a taste between the check and filet...
