Fished a couple miles Southwest of N.W. reef trolling for walleye pulling stinger spoons jager bomb and bite me off of tru trip 40's. Took a while to find the right leads, we started out back 80 to 85 ft because of intel I received with no luck so when slowly moved lines up in 5 ft increments until we found the strike zone back 40 ft. Once we found the program it was a steady pick until we limited out around 1:00. We really were not marking many fish because they were all up high but they were there!

Then we headed over between rattle and green island to finish off with catching our limit of yellow perch. The fishing was up and down with 8 to 10 inch perch until the wind shifted out of the North and they shut down. We made a move to a little closer to green island and slowly picked our last few fish. Threw back quite a few short fish and only kept 8 inch or better.

Felt good to be back on the lake after family and work commitments kept me away for the past 7 weeks!

Good luck this weekend to all who venture out!
