Monday Perch by Intake

Had a decent day on the lake today. Started early in front of Wards Canal on a tip and found absolutely nothing , trolling or perch. Found a small group forming about 1-1/2 to 2 miles north of the intake. Picked up about 20 nice size 10 to 12's. Not killing tem but steady. Moved to the Gravel Pits and things really picked up. Ran out of minnows otherwise would have really nailed em. All in all ended with 70 nice perch. Only about 8 less than 8". Really funny fishing though today. Tried half minnows and nothing, switched to culls and it was on! The usual trash fish, but not bad. Using spreaders with bling. Blue and pink perch design blades on spreaders with gold blades and red beads on hooks was by far the overall best.
Gonna try it again tomorrow! Will report in evening on both trolling and perching.

We pulled about 30 perch by the intake this morning in about 2-1/2 hours. We kept talking about heading towards the gravel pit, but got lulled into staying by the mediocre bite. Guess we should have moved.

We didn't make it out today, but we are going to give it a try tomorrow.
Anybody have reports for walleye and perch from today? Would like to get some more eyes! But I will take the bounty the Great Lake gives. Thanks.
