Great day perching

Took the kids out perching today. Went around the Toledo water intake. With trying to keep up with 4 kids 6 and under we were able to bring in about 100 fish. Mixed bag of yellow perch (most in the 10" range), white bass, and white perch. Started in the morning around 10 am about 1/4 mile due north of the intake. Great til around 1 pm. Tried going a couple miles north toward the pack. Didn't do so well. Went back in to Meinke's to take the kids to the restroom. Went back out. Half mile SE of the intake and got back in to them. All day hitting in 17' of water. Lots of nice yellow perch and white bass. Only about 6 sheep head. Kids had a blast and so did the wives. A much better experience then the other day. Thanks Butch and Denny's bait for all of their help (bait, advise, cleaning). Good luck everyone.

By the way am I the only one who keeps white bass and white perch. I actually prefer white perch over yellow perch. I think they kind of have a sweeter taste to them when fried, but that's just me.
