Erie islands area in late june...

Probably a little early,

My Uncle and I will be fishing the lake out of south bass island in late June. It has been several years since we have been out on the lake. Looking for any ideas as far as the areas and fishing style that typically produce fish during that time..We have always had luck drifting during the summer in the past, but like i said it has been several years...any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Domers98, like you said, a little early to tell, got to let the fish dictate what.where they are, But I will say last year I spent most of my time between Kelly's and the Bass Island, and west/SW of Pelee Island. Did a lot on Gull Shoals. I troll all the time, so can not help to much with the drift fishing. For trolling, stinger spoons and worm harnesses behind jet divers on planer boards or dipsey divers is the norm.

Spoon, thank you for the info!! We have the dipsys and jets ready to go, as we have been doing some research. We just can't wait for June to get here! Any other info is appreciated!!

Spoon I was doing good around huron in 35-40 fow around late june last year but it was exceptionally warm last year. I will be in port Clinton for the last week of june fishin as much as possible. Cant go wrong draggin meat around the Islands that time of year.
