For of you that might be interested,here are minutes from Saturdays meeting of the Toussaint River Protectors Assc.

The meeting was brought to order at 1:00 pm. by Brant Lora. There were six people in attendance.

BUOYS: Some of the buoys are in the river now. We have purchased $4,200.00 worth of supplies to make more buoys to mark the river from the mouth all the way to Route 2. All the buoys should be in place by April 21st.

MOUTH OF THE RIVER: Dredging of the mouth of the river will begin Monday April 15th, weather permitting. Larry Sinclair will be doing the dredging again this year. The river is currently navigable from Beef Creek all the way out to the mouth if you follow the channel carefully.



OLD BUSINESS: Diana has created a Facebook Page for the Toussaint River Protectors Association. To get to it, do a search on Facebook for Toussaint River Protectors Association and it should come right up. If anyone has digital photos taken along the Toussaint or out on the Lake that they would like to have posted on the page, please send them to her at [email protected]. News and events also could be posted.

NEW BUSINESS: There was some discussion about having a raffle in the fall for some large prizes, like half a beef maybe….we will keep you posted.

The water depth sounds encouraging, as well as the scheduled dredging date. I hope it stays that way. May try to get the boat ready this week end!
