Friday May 3rd
got 4 more milkin males in 12 fow north west of Lakefront Marina.
caught 10 sheephead~nice sized ones too~!
green jig tiped with a minnow.
I did not jig straight up and down, I would cast out then jump it back to the boat.
did see other boats getting them too.
seemed like all the head boats out of Port Clinton were there too.
nice day.
water was 56'

~rumor has it~
The rumor has it the sheep head have moved in and the walleye have moved out~ I went out for about an hour today north of Lake Front and the wind was too much for a good "jiggy" plus I needed to do some work on my boat so thats about all the fishing I did on the lake. However, at the docks the crappie are starting and and so are the Large Mouth bass...just don't keep the bass until it's legal. Fish On~

Perchen
If you follow my perch report it is days like I had on Wednesday (walleye fishin) that make me want to go perchen. This year I had a kicker put on ~Water Dog and I plan to try the trollin thing. I have always be a caster and drifter kinda fishin guy, however I am open to to new ways to put those tasty fish on my table. My wife likes walleye better, but I like perch better....so... it .. goes...keepen your wife happy......hmmmm.....
FISHON~!

I was like you, a drifter and caster, but things have changed on the lake and I made the switch to trolling 4 years ago and haven't looked back. I enjoy it more, covers more water and you can kick back and relax until that reel sings to you! We have caught many more fish than we used to catch drifting.
I first started with dipseys, then moved to jets and planer boards. The boards really let you cover some water. Linecounters and braid line and you're ready to go. Best of luck to you!
