Capt. Mike Johnson of Reel Sport Charters Caught the first legal
female of the year, a roughly six pounder, hard as a rock, we will
try to down load the picture, 5/8 oz inline sinker, 4 foot lead,
red jig head, green tail small size, as allways she was released back to the river to do her thing, we always release all females,
she was caught on the maumee side close to the bridge, no other walleyes were seen today, Good luck to everyone she

Healthy looking Walleye. My buddies and I release the females too.

After giving it some thought I think I will release the females also this year until after the spawn . I think for every female released you get ten fish back is that about right ?
