Just wonderin'
Most of the reports that I've read about last years' early season fishing are as follows...
pre-spawn/spawn... jigging on the reefs for eatin'-size males and/or trolling outside the cans in deeper water for the big female "hawgs" .....Since a substantial percentage of walleye spawn in the Sandusky river, why haven't I heard much about fishing for pre or post-spawn walleye near the mouth of the Sandusky Bay or in the slot between Marblehead and Kelley's Island? It seems like a natural "migration" route at that time of year..."just wonderin".

They do catch post spawn fish in south passage. Probably just not as popular as jigging spawning fish while its on. Tough to leave fast and furious action to go troll up Hawgs. Being a local. All we want are the 18-22" jacks for the table. Just a thought
