Ice Fishing
Hey guys, I really wanna do some ice fishing this year. Can you give me any good tips? I'd love to catch some jumbo perch. Where's the best spots and best time to go? Yes I know , Lake Erie and when it's frozen lol, please help. Ps or any other inland spots as well, I don't mind driving for the jumbos. Thanks for any help!!!

Lake Simco in Canada is where we go! North of Toronto have been Ice Fishing 50 years and have not found anything in Ohio or Michigan that compares.

I haven't been to Simcoe in probably 5 or 6 years, but I will second it. It is well worth the drive. You can either choose to fish Cooks Bay for quick limits and smaller fish or the main lake for jumbo's. From the times I've been up there, Cooks Bay has always been fast action, but you have to sort. If you wait long enough for good ice, there is no need to take quads or sleds, just drive your truck wherever you want...they even plow roads on the ice.
