tough evening perch bite

Reel sport went out weds night 5 to 8 pm. fished our usual
spot from 5 to 7 and kept 7 8 inch perch, moved four times looking for fish no luck, made a 3/4 mile move toward channel
fished from 7 to 8 pm, put 57 more in the box, they shut off complety at 8 pm. total 64 perch 15.5 lbs, for three men , try everything,
skipper nine rigs 0 perch for whole night, just sheepheads and white perch, the two things that work where single hook rigs
with 12 to 18 inch leads, and spreaders with one ounce wieght,
east wind and full moon, morning fisherman what I heard did
good.

I was next to you last night. What a tough night. We ended with 32 perch for 5 guys from 5-8.

We caught more sheep head than perch. Could only get "any" fish to bite if you left the bait lay on the bottom. Spreaders with 1 oz weight worked best for us.

fished today in reel sport spot. slow pick about 25 in 3 hours. Moved to west side of ditch and nothing. finally move about a mile toward channel after moving back to old spot and ended with 84 fish for 3 guys. talked to capt Mike and sounded like we ended in same place they did last night. Grade wasn't the best but did get some nice fish toward the end. Only had 18 lbs. Not sure what the deal was. only blueberry colored spreaders, and gold spreaders caught fish. Nothing else came close. not too many junk fish though. Good luck this weekend.

out in front of wards 20-21ft a dozen or so boats we got 75 for 3 guys lots of white perch went through 5 dozen shinners and ran out. talked to buddy who got 125 same spot they are there got 3 man limit there last thursday,friday and saturday spreaders on bottom. looks like there may be a shinner shortage because of full moon
