    Smile major alge bloom western end

    reel sport went tonight to due a little perch fishing, left mienkes marina the water was green , got to intake got greener,
    got to our spot 9 miles out pea soup, moved to 12 mile mark,
    far worst than last year, and only three perch, move back in to green and white bouy, about 1/2 west and south of bouy, water
    somewhat cleaner, non stop action, but it was small perch, whitebass, white perch, and sheepheads, 10 to 1 keeper perch,
    as we came back in there is a small patch of clean water, between west side of water intake to habor light to little cedar point, then back to green water, only six other boats on the water. 17 keeper perch for two hours of fishing.

    Also fished tonight at bouy 13 on channel. First evidence of algea this year of any real concern. It was not real thick, but it was enougth to skim the surface. Ended the night with 94 perch and 1 walleye in 3 hours with 6 people fishing.

    Default Dumping grounds

    Been fishing the Dumping grounds in Monroe the last week and it's gettin really green over their..Been doing well in 18-21 FOW..It's a real bright green to not like the pea soup look.. Good luck and be safe

    The water where we were fishing was very clear. Probably could see 6 feet or more down. The clean water only adds to the problem allowing more sunlight deeper into the water column allowing the algea to bloom.

    How long does normally last? I am planing on coming up the middle of september to fish with Reel Sport. If Mike or Wayne view this, I will be calling around the end of the month.

    Did not see any...out of tc yesterday.....all the way to c can and back..even when wind layed down in the afternoon...

    Well, it was not real think, but it was enought to skim the surface.
