    Default Walleye and perch 8/3/2012

2 of us, Empty Hooks and Myself, started fishing for eyes about 7:30 am NE of B-can working our way in the direction of the pack that had formed NE of C-Can we were north of the pack by about 1/4 mile at our closest and a one and half mile at the furthest. We trolled across the waves from west to east and then turned and followed our GPS trail back. We picked up 12 eyes pulling J-7's and harnesses in about 4hrs. We lost several a few feet back of the boat. Fish range from 17 to 26 inches. Worm harnesses out fished the J-7's 11 to 1 so we finally switched to all worm harnesses and finished up. They liked 60 back off the boards and 65 back flat lined off the corners at 2.1 to 2.5 gps speed. We then moved to B-can anchored and took a 2 man limit of perch that went 16 lbs at the cleaners in about 3 hr's nothing fast or furious but steady enough to keep us in one spot with a nice quality of fish and lots of white perch.

That is a very good question that should have been included in my original post, and for that I am sorry.
We used the tru-trip 40 deep divers for both harness and J-7's.
I would like to add the tru-trips make reading the small boards much easier because when they trip with small fish or are tripped with no hookup the board will pull alot more level than when the tru-trip is not tripped, so much so that you can tell at a glance if your diver has tripped.

It was the same person who caught the most white perch and also pro-longed the day by losing the most walleyes just behind the boat out of reach of the net!

i was catching all the white perch that way u did not catch that many of them.i was trying to keep them on my side of the boat. I prolonged the day because what is better then spending a day on the lake .
well the walleyes would of been closer to the boat if your boat was bigger .
